This weekend I dug up some of my potatoes. This is one of my favorite harvests because you never know what you’re going to get; some years it’s a bonanza and other years it’s just a few.
One thing to be really careful about is rotating your plants from one bed to the next. Leave two years between planting in the same bed to avoid getting diseases.
This plant is still going strong.
After flowering is when the potatoes begin to grow.
When the leaves die back it’s time to harvest.
Here’s what I dug up.
These fingerling potatoes are all set.
Time to make hash browns!
I'd love to hear from you!
